Charlie envisioned that it would take him about one-third the time it would take Jared to get ready for breakfast in the mornings.

The stalactites, which are rock structures that form down from the ceiling, looked like teeth in the mouth of the cave.  

  The floor of the cave was slippery, but the group wore sturdy boots that gripped the ground.  

  After returning to camp, Dr. Alphonse and the explorers planned their route for the next day of exploration.  

  Dr. Janice Alphonse, the leader of the expedition, set pitons along the cave floors to help the others.  

  Although others had explored this area no one knew of the caves nor their entrance.  

  After discovering the location of the lost caves the explorers set up camp for the evening.  

  Despite the rough terrain, the explorers made good time to the entrance of the cave.  

During the trip, however, it actually takes Jared less time to get himself together in the morning than it did Charlie.

Charlie, then, was looking forward to the upcoming trip that they are taking together.
