The exam will be comprised of two types of questions: short answer (worth 4 points each) and essay questions (worth 10 points each). You will have a final essay question on a sonnet, worth 10 points.A short answer question will simply provide you the TERM, CONCEPT, or PERSON and should be answered by1) defining or explaining the term, concept, or person, 2) identifying the literature you have read that relates to that term, and 3) providing an explanation of how that term applies to the literature.Each response should be between 2 to 4 sentences.Essay questions are worth 10 point each. Answers should interpret, analyze, or apply the readings in order to reply directly to the questions asked. The more specific your response, the more points you will earn. Each answer should be 5 to 10 sentences long. Answers that are mere guesses or empty responses will receive zero credit.
