What might a theatre ask you to do if you’ve arrived late to a performance that has already commenced?

In our Video Discussion Forum and with Mr. Wise’s replies to you of the Cell Phone Fines that were instigated back in 2013 – 2015 in NYC, these fines were a result of numerous patrons interrupting performances by not only their cell phones ringing but them answering and carrying on conversations. 

What is a type of contemporary scenic element that could save a production large budgets by not having to building or paint various traditional scenery?  (However, there would need to be up front equipment costs.)
