In a response of at least 100 words, please discuss your experiences in the online classroom. Here are some suggested questions/prompts. You may choose to answer one, some, or all of them.  What in the organization of this online classroom worked for you? Did you enjoy the major assignment by major assignment organization of the modules, or would you prefer daily or weekly modules? What changes would you like to see made to the modules? Was the information provided in the Getting Started module helpful for you? What information do you wish had been included? Was any information unnecessary? Should any information from that first module be moved elsewhere in the course? Discuss your experiences with the free online textbook. Did you enjoy having access to free materials rather than paying for a physical book, or would you rather have a printed textbook for the readings? Were there any changes you’d like to see to the online textbook?   *To be candid, I’ve made a lot of changes to the course design and organization this summer (and, as an English department, we are working to make additional changes in the near future). I’m not necessarily looking for only positive feedback (though if you like something, please tell me so I know not to change it!); I’m open to constructive criticism here as well — professionally delivered, of course 😉

Garden Living Garden Living, Inc. is a lawn furniture company that has been around for many years. It is known for its ability to produce furniture more efficiently than any other company in the nation. In truth, no other companies in any other nation come close. Garden Living has shipped many of its products internationally. In fact, 80 percent of its profits come from international sales. However, the Italian government has imposed a tax on imported furniture items to protect local companies. The Brazilian government, on the other hand, has imposed taxes on Garden Living products due to the government wanting a piece of the pie. Garden Living initially thought that these taxes were unfair because it was being singled out. However, after Garden Living contacted an organization that had the power to mediate this situation, the furniture company realized that the taxation it was subjected to was legal and that there was nothing it could do about it. Refer to Garden Living. Because the company is known for its ability to produce lawn furniture more efficiently than any other company in the world, the company must have a(n) _______ advantage.

EMA Inc. Ethan Martinez owns EMA Inc., an advertising agency. At present, the company focuses solely on advertising. However, Ethan plans to expand the company’s focus to include all the major elements of an organization’s promotional mix. Ethan feels that expanding the focus in such a way will allow the firm to meet customer needs in a more coordinated fashion. Currently, the firm organizes its work according to the media being used. Ethan believes this is the most effective way to subdivide advertising. Because television is one of the most widely used advertising media, the company spends most of its time on television advertising. EMA knows what it takes to get the job done, and it is committed to success. Refer to EMA Inc. As Ethan plans to expand the company’s focus to other major elements of the promotion mix, which of the following should he focus on if he wants to help his clients create and maintain favorable relationships with their various internal and external groups?
