Recall the scenario from our homework assignments about Julia (manager) and Lucy (warehouse operator), who were working on a team to upgrade the inventory management system. The scenario is pasted below if you need a reminder of its contents. What would you recommend to Julia? Be specific, and justify your recommendations. This is your time to show me what you know! Julia is an engineering manager at Bulldog Manufacturing, Inc. She is in charge of a team that has been tasked with modernizing the company’s inventory management system. Her team for this project consists of herself, a production engineer, a procurement supervisor, an IT specialist, and a warehouse operator. The team has been meeting for a few weeks, and has developed a number of exciting ideas for the new inventory management system. However, the warehouse operator on the team, Lucy, does not support these ideas. Lucy often makes statements such as “that will never work” and “this is a waste of time and money.” Lucy does not offer her own ideas or solutions in team meetings. Julia feels that hearing from the warehouse team is necessary to ensure that the new solution is well accepted, but she is not getting anywhere with Lucy.
