Al owns a funeral home, and on March 12, he entered into a written contract to provide both funeral services and a lunch reception for 300 people for Nancy Jone’s deceased husband, Bill. (The funeral home has a room they use for lunch receptions following funerals.) Per the contract, the funeral and reception were to take place on March 19. On March 16, due to the COVID pandemic, the state governor issued an executive order which closed non-essential businesses and prohibited gatherings of more than 15 people. Under the order, funeral homes are prohibited from having more than 15 people in their businesses. Nancy is insisting that her husband’s funeral and reception for 300 continue on March 19. Has Al breached the contract if he fails to provide the luncheon for 300 people on March 19 as promised?

Academic Integrity | Ethical Standards   I understand that MDC students are expected to maintain the Highest Ethical Standards. Academic dishonesty is considered a serious breach of these ethical standards because it interferes with the university’s mission to provide a high-quality education in which no student enjoys an unfair advantage over any other.  Academic dishonesty also affects the university community, grounded in a system of mutual trust and places a high value on personal integrity and individual responsibility.   Penalties are associated with academic dishonesty.

I understand the requirements for taking a proctored exam with Honorlock.   I am using an external Webcam (with a working mic) that will record the entire session including the work area. My mobile phone will be out of reach during the exam.    I can use a scientific calculator; however, my cellphone cannot be used as a calculator.   My exam will be invalid and I will earn a zero in the exam if I do not follow the established protocols.
