Farid and his research team concluded that the commercial predictive algorithm software they analyzed was effectively racist. However, the software had no access to the race of the people it was analyzing. How then could it be "racist"?Farid concludes that he and his team’s research shows that using AI in this area of CJ is dangerous and reckless.
