The fоllоwing Excel file cоntаins three (3) "essаy questions" (reаlly small problems).  Each question/problem is shown on separate Excel tabs at the bottom of the worksheet.  The first tab covers Vertical/Horizontal/Ratio analysis (41 points).  The second tab covers recording business transactions using a Tabular Analysis (50 points).  The third tab covers the preparation of Financial Statements (50 points).  Students should download the Excel file from this question.  Students should then complete the requirements of each question on the Excel file.  Students will upload their completed Excel file in the next question.  Your Excel file should be have the following file name:  N#midterm.xls (or xlsx)  To illustrate - "N000000000midterm.xlsx" The shaded areas of each tab are provided so students know where to document their answers.  The shaded areas may be larger than the space needed to answer the question properly. You may use the complete functionality of Excel to complete these three questions.  Making your file "pretty" (e.g., colors, borders, etc.) is not expected. Excel will function as your "scrap paper".  Don't worry if you leave doodles, notes, calculations on the non-shaded areas of the spreadsheets.  It also makes a handy calculator if you don't like the Honorlock basic calculator.
