A wоmаn cоnstаntly оbsesses аbout the germs on the door to her building.  She has been known to stay in and cancel her plans rather than have to face them. When she goes in or out of the door to the building she worries she will catch a horrible illness and end up in the hospital or dead.  She will hold her hands out in front of her and not touch anything from the door to her building until she is able to wash her hands.  If she is prevented from washing her hands immediately she feels like she cannot breathe or think until the bathroom is free to wash her hands.  She carries soap in her purse and must wash her hands 3 times (wash, rinse, dry, repeat) before she can start to relax enough to continue to her apartment or wherever she intended to go.  She hates this reaction and knows it is irrational, but she cannot stop herself from completing the washing ritual.  This woman may be suffering from a(n) ____________ disorder.
