Pleаse understаnd thаt it is NEVER my intentiоn tо be disrespectful оr rude to any of my students.  I have found through the years that it is often difficult to discern tone in texts and emails.  I know that I use caps in some of my emails or instructions but PLEASE do not interpret that to mean that I am yelling at you. I am not. I am just trying to emphasize important information.    If you have some sort of emergency please let me know and I can try to help you out. Also, if there is anything going on in your personal, financial, family, physical or spiritual life that is causing you issues that effect your performance in this class PLEASE feel free to talk to me about what is going on.  I try to maintain clear expectation and class rules but I am also a reasonable person and it is REALLY IMPORTANT to me personally that ALL of my students succeed.  If there is something that you think I should know about you and your particular situation I really hope that you feel comfortable talking to me about it.   If you understand this type yes in the blank.
