35. Clinicаl cаse (2 оf 2 questiоns): A 73-yeаr-оld man presents to the clinic for evaluation of foot tingling and pain that has been gradually worsening over the past few years. He reports that it feels like he is walking on rocks. It also hurts to have socks touching his feet. He denies weakness, gait instability, or clumsiness. On neurologic exam, he reports a dull sensation to pinprick distal to the knees in bilateral lower extremities. Vibratory sensation is normal at the toes bilaterally.
