A fungus was isolated from a patient with otomycosis. The fungus grew as a velvety gray-green mold with a wide peripheral white rim. The LPCB scotch tape prep showed hyaline septate hyphae with branched conidiophores, phialides and long chains of phialoconidia, resembling a paintbrush.
