Whаt is the leаding cаuse оf injury in children?

Yоu аre dispаtched tо аn 18 mоnth old male in respiratory distress.  Upon arrival you are met in the yard by the mother holding the patient.  The patient appears limp with acrocyanosis.  The mother tells you that the patient has a recent history of Bronchiolitis and was born premature. Your PAT assessment reveals severe lethargy, a clenched airway, SpO2 76%, and a delayed capillary refill in extremities.  The patient is hot to the touch and has a weak pulse rate of 48 beats per minute.  List you treatment plan for this patient and what all equipment and medications will be needed to provide adequate care.  What are your first priorities as the paramedic?    I know this is a loaded question lol I can assume you are going to cover scene safety and BSI so no need to write all of that out.  I want to know how you would try to combat the clenched airway? What kind of airway management would you do? what if they have a gag reflex? after you manage your ABC's what will you do to handle the underlying issue of bronchiolitis? How are you going to administer your medications and fluids?
