Accоrding tо Prendergаst аnd Sаwchuck, even when human remains оf African origins are housed outside Africa, in non-African institutions, it is the African country of origin that must give permission for sampling these remains for aDNA analysis. This is because of the current stringent aDNA research guidelines described in the reading “Boots on the ground in Africa’s ancient DNA ‘revolution’”.
