Yоu recently inherited prоperty frоm your grаndfаther thаt had been rented out to a chrome-plating shop (they put the chrome on automobile bumpers, etc.).  Because the heirs to your grandfather's estate couldn't agree on how to share in the value of the property, the courts ordered that the property be put in a trust and managed by a local bank.  Later it was found that the groundwater was contaminated with chromium releasted from the rentor, who was now deceased.  You have been told that your are now a PRP under CERCLA and may be held partially liable for clean up.  Which of the following aspects of CERCLA put you in this firghtening position   (this is an actual circumstance that I advised a person about years ago)
