Honorlock will take your photograph and then a photograph of your government issued photo ID or USF student ID. The software will compare the two images to confirm you are taking your own exam. You will be required to turn the webcam to show the 360-degree view of your work area and your desktop. No scratch paper is permitted on exams, meaning your desktop should be clear of all books and paper. Your web browser will be locked so that you cannot search other web sites. Honorlock will detect secondary devices (tablets, cell phones, etc) within your work area, meaning these items should not be within the room you are working. Honorlock will monitor and record your behavior during the exam for indications that you are trying to use course materials or other prohibited sources to complete your exam. It monitors eye and upper limb movement, movement in your work room, and the noise level in the room. If Honorlock detects suspicious activity, a live proctor will join your testing session. The instructor will also be alerted and will be provided the recording of your exam to review. Honorlock does have 24/7 live chat availability to help students who experience difficulties even during the test itself. Honorlock is ADA compliant as well. You will be recorded and monitored during exams. Excessive eye movement away from the camera will be considered cheating.
