In the lecture, I told you how limestone could form by precipitation of calcite from water. I also told you that limestone could have a biological origin – perhaps being formed by reef organisms. And, I said that limestone could have a clastic origin, but I did not tell you how this could happen. My bad. But, help me out, and tell me how limestone could have a clastic origin.
