Please provide a case conceptualization based on the following scenario utilizing a theory of your choice. Deborah is a Korean American woman in her early thirties. She lives alone in a suburban area and works as an elementary school teacher. She has been in a romantic relationship with her partner for about six years, and she recently became engaged. Deborah’s partner is a White man who has a successful career in the military, and he never completed college. Deborah has not told her parents that she is engaged, and she has expressed that she’s experiencing a lot of anxiety about the idea of talking with them about it. She is convinced that her parents will not approve of her desire to marry a man who is not Korean and who didn’t complete college. When she was growing up, her parents expected that she and her siblings would all go to college and get “good jobs” (e.g., being a doctor or a lawyer). Her younger sister is in her residency for medical school, and her younger brother recently completed an MBA (Master of Business Administration degree) and just started working as the financial manager for a consulting firm.
