Step 1 - Compare your Video to the Demonstration Click on the webcam icon on the bottom of your computer screen to show the side camera view of yourself. Leave the webcam view on during your whole exam to ensure that your camera is capturing your whole image. Look at your view of your camera on your computer screen and make sure that it matches the required view as noted in the exam instructions and the video you just watched. Review the list of requirements at the bottom of this question box to ensure that your view meets the requirements. If your view does not meet the requirements, adjust your camera so it does. Step 2 - Review the Video Requirements Set your external, freestanding webcam up as described in the video demonstration. (Make sure your external camera is set as the default camera.) You are alone in a quiet room (not outside; no background audio/video; test when children/others are sleeping if needed). Your microphone and camera are on for the entire exam. From the side view, your face, torso, hands, full computer monitor, keyboard, and mouse must all be clearly visible on camera for the whole exam. Your computer is on a solid work surface (desk, table, counter, or floor where the free-standing, external webcam can be set up correctly). You only have one computer screen or monitor (any additional monitors are covered with a towel or blanket) You have nothing on the work surface except your computer, keyboard, mouse, one scratch paper, and a pencil or pen (beverages in clear containers without labels are allowed). No cell phones or other electronic devices are on your workspace, on your person, or within your reach (turn them off and put them far away from you). You are not wearing headphones, earbuds, hat, or hood (religious head coverings are okay). You have no other notes, books, papers or pens/pencils within your reach. Step 3 - Answer these three Questions in the Answer Box Below: Do you have the webcam icon clicked so you can see your video image on the screen as instructed in the picture above? If you do not have the webcam view turned on, do it now and keep it on during the entire exam. If you do not keep your webcam view on, you will not earn credit, and you will not be approved to take the exam online. Describe the webcam image of yourself that you see on your computer screen.
