The following describes a scientific investigation. Please read the text and the answer the questions that follow. A research scientist was studying lizards. The scientist wanted to know if lizards would run faster or slower depending on the types of insects that they ate. All the lizards would be the same species. Each group of lizards received only one species of insect for all their meals. The insects would be: crickets, mealworms, wax worms, and fruit flies. The lizards would be fed in their housing, not while racing because you don’t want them to get sick.
