You will need to be able to remember all the vocabulary terms, names of important bacteria examples, and understand concepts like antibiotic resistance/susceptibility, nutritional modes, etc. There are lots of good ways to study, but you will need to find what works for you. Question: What do you plan on doing to prepare for test 1? Give 1 or 2 examples of things you'll do to study/practice for test 1. Some suggestions you can choose from if you're having trouble coming up with a plan: make flashcards or Quizlets for vocabulary terms and definitions, background information, practice questions & practice with them daily. Annotate the handouts and powerpoints in the module with your own notes or practice questions & review these each week. Make a practice test in powerpoint or google slides using the specimen images. Next to each picture, have review questions like "What genus does this belong to?", or "Is this Gram + or Gram -?", "How does this organism get its nutrition". Make your own answer key, and practice writing or typing your answers out and checking for spelling, etc. Practice daily! Draw and label specimens from memory along with important characteristics & check your work against the module resources. Record a video of yourself introducing the specimens and explaining how to identify or distinguish them from each other. Teaching or explaining a subject to someone else or an imaginary audience is an excellent way to identify any gaps in your recall or understanding!
