Write bоdy pаrаgrаph 3 (BP3), which is the оppоsition paragraph of your documented argument essay. This paragraph should: PRESENT:  Begin with a transition that presents a contrasting idea and summarize the opposition’s viewpoint openly and honestly in the paragraph’s first sentence.  VALIDATE/CONCEDE: Show that you respect what the opposing point of view says by giving a statement that acknowledges the importance or value of the counterargument. This statement should summarize why the opposition upholds this claim. REFUTE: State why the opposition’s reasoning is invalid, untrue, or unconvincing. You want to try to minimize the problem or opposition’s concern. Begin with a transition word that shows a contrast.  SUPPORT YOUR REFUTATION WITH RESEARCH:  Introduce, present, and explain evidence from credible sources that support your refutation. You should have at least two research-based facts for this paragraph. Be sure to cite your source(s). CONCLUDE: Begin with a transition and summarize your refutation. You may also want to emphasize why the the opposition’s argument is flawed, weak, or unconvincing and why your position continues to be the strongest. The ideas in this paragraph should be different and new; they should NOT repeat or overlap ideas already presented in the body paragraphs 1 and 2. This paragraph should be 8+ sentences in length.
