Post Scene Despite initial interventions, the patient states that it is becoming more difficult to breathe and it feels like her throat is swelling. Upon physical examination you notice urticaria to the patient’s chest and abdomen.   The patient’s skin is flushed, cool, and dry. Her eyes open spontaneously and the pupils are 3 mm and reactive. The vital signs are BP 98/68, P 122, R 34, SPO2 89% on supplemental oxygen, T 98° F (37° C). The blood glucose is 104 mg/dL.  What changes to the patient’s signs or symptoms would indicate that treatment is improving the patient’s condition, and what changes would indicate that despite treatment the patient’s condition is worsening?
