Coalition of Greek city-states—led by Athens—that continued…

Cоаlitiоn оf Greek city-stаtes—led by Athens—thаt continued fighting the Persian Empire even after the invaders had been driven from Greece.  This coalition eventually did battle against a rival Greek coalition, led by Sparta.
