For whichever family you choose, describe the family-level characteristics that you can see in the field (with the naked eye or with a hand lens) that would allow you to identify members of this family (and distinguish them from all of the other families that we have covered in lecture). (For this question, you can assume that your hand lens is good enough to see basic eye patterns, but not the details of trichobothria or tiny reproductive structures that you might see under a microscope.) Note: be specific! Do not put “eye pattern” unless you go on to describe the specific details of the eye pattern that would allow you to distinguish this spider from all of the other families that we have covered in lecture.
