Similar to RNASeq analysis, researchers can carry out differential PROTEIN expression analyses using Mass Spec data. When researchers compared proteomes from fly embryos and adults, they generated the volcano plot representing the log2 ratio (adult/embryo) for each protein quantified (image below).
