Sarah, a 28-year-old female, presents with new-onset blurred vision in her right eye, fatigue, and numbness in her left leg that has lasted for three weeks. She reports that six months ago, she experienced similar numbness in her right arm that resolved spontaneously after about two weeks. MRI shows multiple periventricular white matter lesions, some of which enhance with gadolinium. Cerebrospinal fluid analysis shows oligoclonal bands.
