Testlet 1: Use to answer questions #21-22A group of dental hygienists are devoting one day a week to the high schools in their community. A grant was given by the state for the public health department to purchase a van with portable dental equipment and supplies. The dental hygienists will conduct in-service workshops for the parents and teachers. The students will receive information on the importance of oral hygiene care and the development of dental diseases. The hygienists have also designed a dental clinic, which will allow the dental hygienists to conduct oral exams, place sealants, and administer fluoride. Follow- up data will also be collected one year after the high school students have particpated in the program. At the follow up data collection visit to each high school, the dental hygienists are going to look at the number of new carious lesions that develope in the students?
