Yоu аre cаring fоr а 42-year-оld female trauma patient who is intubated and on the mechanical ventilator. She is receiving Propofol (Diprivan) via continuous IV gtt for sedation along with other medication for her diagnoses.  She is currently resting in the bed with a RASS (Richmond Agitation Sedation Score) of - 2 which is light sedation. The patient will open eyes to voice and make brief eye contact (< 10 sec) before drifting back to sleep again.  You receive notice that the physician will be coming by in one hour to do a bedside debridement of a wound on the patients leg.  What should you do in preparation and why?
