Hence, the transverse diametral pitch Pt is 12*cos(30) = 10.3923 teeth/inch. They both are made of Grade-1 through-hardened steel of quality Qv = 7 The Brinell Hardness of both gears is HB = 300. The reliability is 0.95 for both gears.  We want the both gears to survive by the time pinion has rotated for 109 cycles.
