The fоllоwing dаtа relаtes tо participants' arousal responses to two different Web pages in a between-participants experiment. While participants in one condition were exposed to the page that featured ads with slow animation, participants in the other condition saw the page featuring ads that had fast animation. Except for the speed of animation, all content on the two pages, including the ads themselves, was identical. Participants' arousal to the Web page was measured via the level of skin conductance. Their baseline level of skin conductance was first measured for 20 seconds before commencing the experiment. Then, their average skin conductance in micro-mhos during the viewing of the stimulus page was measured. Arousal level was computed by subtracting average baseline conductance from average conductance during stimulus minus, and then dividing the result by average baseline conductance. I then conducted a bivariate analysis (Fit Y by X) using JMP Statistical Discovery Software to determine the effect of animation speed on arousal. This is the JMP output I got.
