* An adolescent female patient has had yellowish green nasal discharge and frontal headaches for 10 days. The adolescent’s temperature has gone up to 38.4 C (101.2 F) on most afternoons and she has a cough that worsens when she lies down. On physical exam she has exquisitely tender frontal and maxillary sinuses. Oropharynx exam reveals post nasal drainage and a slightly erythematous pharynx. She does not have any drug allergies and has not been taking any medications in the last few months. Which medication would be best to prescribe for her?
