At the age of 15, Sarah was involved in a motor vehicle accident. Prior to the accident, Sarah was a member of her school’s basketball team, played the violin, and was a student of honors. She had many friends, was active in her local church, and enjoyed babysitting when her schedule allowed. Sarah sustained a moderate head injury. She remained in the hospital for 5-months. At discharge, Sarah exhibits with a right hemiparesis of her right leg and arm, cognitive deficits, difficulty with attention and stamina, nonfluent speech with word finding deficits, and higher-order language difficulties.
