Bonus: In case you miss an answer, take a moment to think about the issue of hunger in this story. Is there a way to see hunger as symbolic as well as actual or physical? Is it ironic that the tribe is starving and there are twenty cattle near by? Where are the buffalo? (Just something I think about everytime I read this.)
