I no longer grade grammar in essays (unless it’s a grammar-focused question or unless you were told to edit something and didn’t do it). I have still chosen to cover grammar concepts, though. I think it’s important that all writers understand these concepts even if one day AI is doing all of our editing for us. Why? Because, as you know, AI gets it wrong, and I want you to have the knowledge and confidence to push back against our robot overlords. My questions are these:Do you find the grammar lessons valuable? Why or why not?Would you have liked to cover any grammar concepts we did not discuss? Please explain.Do you have any suggestions for how to better incorporate grammar instruction into the class? Please explain.
