I remember this one patient that had come in with rubber bands embedded in its skin on the tail ears and all four limbs. I have seen wounds from keeping a pet outside on a chain where the collar has become a part of the skin around the neck, I have seen pets that come in with dog fighting wounds from being a bait dog. It will really tug at your heart strings. At what point do you feel it is the veterinary hospitals duty to report an abused animal? What are the laws on this as a veterinary practice ? If the hospital would not let you report them would you do it anyways, even if you were risking your job? MINIMUM OF 150 WORDS
