If you have not already downloaded the Canvas mobile app for your phone, please do so. If you have and iPhone, you may use the Notes app to scan files. If you don’t have an iPhone or if you don’t like the way the Notes app works, you may want to download CamScanner (a free document scanning app). Select a document with at least three pages. It can be anything you want — your notes, work from another class, a story you’ve written, etc. Scan and upload the document you chose using one of these three approaches (whichever works best for you). Canvas mobile app: On the Canvas mobile app, go to MAT171.901, then Quizzes, and then find this quiz (Scanning Extra Credit Quiz). Once inside the quiz, click “Submit Quiz”. There will be an option for “Scanner”. Here you can take a picture of your work, page by page, and upload the file directly to canvas as a single document. iPhone Notes app: With the Notes app on your phone, click the icon for a new note. On the bottom of the screen, click the paperclip attachment icon, and select “Scan Documents”. Here, you can take a picture of your handwritten work, page by page. Once all pages are scanned, click “Save” and then “Done”. Then click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the app, from here you can choose where to send a copy of the document. The easiest way to submit to Canvas is to send the document as an attachment in an email, save it to your computer, and then select that file after clicking the “submit assignment” button on canvas. CamScanner app: Using CamScanner, click the camera button at the bottom. Here, you can take a picture of your handwritten work, page by page. Once all pages are scanned, click “Done” then “Share”. Again, you can send the document as an attachment in an email, save it to your computer, and then select that file after clicking the “submit assignment” button on canvas.
