In whаt wаys dоes the inclusiоn оf residuаl stress affect the understanding of circumferential (hoop) stress distribution in arteries, as derived from the analysis of thick-walled cylinders?

Mаyоr Eric Adаms hаs requested yоur help analyzing incidents оf crime in New York City. He is going to give a "State of the City" address 120 minutes from now and he needs to be able to speak intelligently about the state of crime incidents in New York City. Aware that you have just completed ECON695, Hizzoner wants you to dig into crime incident data the NYPD has been compiling in order to create the most accurate/insightful analysis possible. You are being given a broad tasking: to help the Mayor better understand crime incident patterns in his city. There is no prescribed methodology here, the Mayor simply needs whatever information you can gather fast, but not at the expense of clarity, policy relevance, or accuracy. The job comes with two caveats: The first is that Hizzoner is under immense time pressure and doesn't have time to sit through a long presentation. Your work product must be a document that can be read in under three minutes.  The second is that Hizzoner learns best via tables, graphs and charts, so your analysis must include exactly three visual aids. You have two hours to review the available data (HERE) and (HERE) and produce your analysis. Use whatever variables/observations you wish to complete the objective - however all of your data must be a primary source. For the purposes of this assignment that means you must use the most disaggregated data publicly available to conduct your analysis and all charts/graphs/tables/statistics must be self-generated. The finished product should be a Jupyter notebook complete with embedded graphs/charts/tables and the code used to generate them. When complete, save your Jupyter notebook with the FirstName_LastName.ipynb naming convention we have used previously. Upload the notebook to the appropriate assignment on Canvas and quietly head off to bigger and better things 🙂 Grading Criteria: Accurate Analysis (15%): All of the assertions/conclusions included in the analysis are supported by the data. The raw data must 'say what you say it says'. Clearly & Concisely Written (25%): The text should flow logically and relate to the statistical analysis you undertook. There should not be any spelling, grammar, or punctuation errors. It must be possible to read the entire notebook in three minutes. Intuitive and Aesthetically Formatted Tables/Visualizations (25%): Tables/Visualizations can be understood without explanation because types, titles, axis/text labels, legend, color schemes, scale, tick marks, and numerical formatting have all been thoughtfully considered and carefully designed. Exactly three visual aids are included in the notebook. Meaningful Insights (30%): The analysis generates interesting statistics and actionable results. Creating a graph that shows crime incidents are less likely in the mid-morning hours won't be news to anyone, be sure your analysis provides insights the Mayor can use to better design crime control tactics.  Comment Code (5%): It is not necessary that your text explains each step in the analysis. It is necessary, however, that your code is commented to explain what each line achieves.
