INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR EXAM: Choose one topic listed below and write a five-paragraph (or more), 500-word (or longer) essay, following the principles you have learned this semester. Be sure your essay includes an introductory paragraph with a thesis statement, three well-developed body paragraphs (with topic sentences) supported by examples, and an appropriate conclusion. Do not write on any topics about which you’ve already written this semester. Do not write on a topic not listed below. AVOID THE USE of any form of the word “you,” contractions, or the lower case “i” in place of the personal pronoun “I.” Observe MLA formatting (heading information is below) When you have proofread/revised the final copy to your satisfaction, submit your test. EXAM PROMPTS: Clearly state and defend your stance/position on one of these issues; provide examples, descriptions, rationale for support: 1. What is something you’ve mostly disliked/hated in the past, but, as you’ve grown older, have come to appreciate, and why? 2. From your perspective, what are the golden rules that everyone should follow in social interactions? 3. What is TRULY important to you in life? Show (with specific examples) how this or these aspects are important to you. 4.
