Tоpic: Cоmmunicаtiоn, Conflict Resolution, Integrity, Ethics, аnd Vаlues You were hired onto a medical-surgical unit with a group of 8 new graduate nurses that graduated from the same RN program.  You have overheard that several of the RN preceptors assigned to train these new graduates have been placing monetary bets on which new grad was going to fail out of the orientation training, or which new grad was going to make the first medication error.   Based on what you have learned regarding ethics in nursing and chain of command, what would be the appropriate steps to take in this situation?  Please share your thoughts on this situation.  Keep in mind the Code of Ethics and the implications that this may have on the new grad cohort once this information is released.  What do you anticipate the management team will do?   As a new graduate nurse entering the workforce, how do you think the rest of your cohort will feel when this information is released?
