Okay, you had to know it was coming (see the ominous foreshadowing above in question 54). In the movie The Rock (a.k.a. the best movie ever), terrorists are using VX, a lethal nerve gas. VX effects can be inhibited by atropine by blocking acetylcholine receptors. Hooray! Nicholas Cage is saved (an Oscar-worthy performance for sure). However, the terrorist that is exposed to VX without atropine dies a horrible (gurgling?) death. Why?
