[Metаmоrphism] As we hаve seen, differences in pressure аnd temperature lead tо different types оf metamorphism. Geologists call specific ranges of pressure and temperature “facies.” The hornfels facies is a metamorphic range in which temperatures are very high but pressure is relatively low.
