Many individuals who log on to popular online social-networking sites, such as Facebook or Snapchat, see these as exciting new forums to express themselves, to encounter new ideas, and to socialize in the brave new world of cyberspace. The only rule on these sites seems to be that there are no rules, and their users seem to like it that way. However, another more ominous side of these new age meeting places has emerged recently. As a result of claims of assault and cyberbullying, many have called for closer regulation of popular computer networking sites and how those sites are made available to young people.
