Mоst emаils will be respоnded tо immediаtely or within а reasonable amount of time. Please allow up to 24-48 hours to receive a response to emails sent on a weekday. Emails received on the weekend (after 12 noon on Friday), after-hours, and holidays will be replied to within 24-48 hours of the start of the next business day. Normal CVCC hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. DO NOT utilize third party email accounts. I will not reply. In fact, they are often sent to the Spam Folder and pose a security risk to the college networks. DO utilize your CVCC-provided Alabama.edu email account. DO NOT reply to Canvas announcements. They are clearly marked as [External] and clearly state in the email line. Reason 1: Oftentimes, the announcements are not related to the student's concerns. Reason 2: Replies to announcements from students commonly get grouped together similarly to group chats. This makes it difficult to keep track of whose emails I have addressed. It also increases the chance I will miss your email. DO draft a new email. Include an appropriate subject line. Also, include your name, student number, and the course you are enrolled. Please include the course name and CRN number, meeting day & time, or online in that description. Telling me you take BIO103 online is not sufficient. Be sure to include the CRN number because I usually teach multiple sections. Thus, I still would not know which course to access to address your concerns. Do NOT send messages within Canvas. I am not logged into Canvas at all times. Also, emails are more reliable, and I receive them on my phone. I understand the email policy.
