The DVM decides on the following treatment protocols for Rumpy: Hospitalization in Isolation Ward for minimum of 7 Days: Required PPE; Mask, Gloves, Gown, Foot Covers. IV Fluids: Plasmalyte Urinary Catheter Placement: Monitor Output, handle with full PPE, dispose of with hazardous waste. Medication to be given in hospital: Ondansetron at 0.5mg/kg, IV, SID. Ampicillin at 25 mg/kg, IV, TID. Penicillin G at 25,000–40,000 U/kg, IV, QID. Canned Therapeutic Renal Diet given in patient’s RER amount. Medication to go home: Doxycycline 100mg tablets : 5mg/kg, PO, BID x 2 weeks. Any Therapeutic Renal Diet at patient’s MER amount.
