SEFAKO MAKGATHO HEALTH SCIENCES UNIVERSITY REGULATIONS FOR THE BASIC PHARMACIST’S ASSISTANCE WRITTEN ASSESSMENT 1. Cаndidаtes shаll take their seats at least 20 MINUTES befоre the cоmmencement оf the examinations. 2. Candidates will not be allowed into the examinations hall in instances where such candidates are more than 20 MINUTES late. Should a learner be late for the assessment, no extra time will be given. 3. Candidates shall complete the Examinations Attendance Form, otherwise they will be marked absent on the Examinations Attendance list. 4. No candidate shall leave the examinations hall within an hour after the commencement of the examinations during each session. 5. No candidate shall leave the examinations hall during a session and return with the express aim to continue with the examinations in progress. 6. No communication of any kind shall take place between the candidates during examinations. The only communication that is permitted is between the candidate and the invigilator. 7. No smoking, eating and drinking are permitted inside the examinations hall when examinations are in progress, and no concession shall be given to candidates for a smoke break. 8. You must use the following items during the assessment:Computer or Laptop 9. You may not use your study manuals or cell phones during the assessment. 10. In the event of a candidate being suspected of cheating in an assessment, the following steps will be taken:10.1 The invigilator will not allow the candidate to complete the assessment paper.10.2 Any documentation in the candidate’s possession must be attached to the answer book and will be sent separately from the other assessment scripts directly to the Head of Department.10.3 All assessment are recorded and a recording will be downloaded and handed in to committee as proof. .10.4 The Head of Department will then assess the statements and make a decision.10.5 If a candidate is found guilty of cheating, the assessment script will not be marked and the candidate will be excluded from attending the course.10.6 If a candidate is found not guilty of cheating, the assessment script will be marked and the result released as per the usual channels.
