This is the midterm exam for MAT 116. Taking the exam: This exam will be proctored by Honorlock. There is no make-up or retest for this exam. You must finish this exam in one sitting. You may not save your work and finish the exam later. Blackboard will state you can save the test and return. THIS IS NOT TRUE! Start and finish the exam in one sitting! You may leave to use the restroom once during the exam. This cannot exceed 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, your exam may not be accepted. There is no retest or second chance for this exam. You may use a scientific or graphing calculator on this exam. A cell phone is not a calculator. You may not use a cell phone while taking this exam. The exam will present one question at a time. You will not be allowed to go back to a previous question once you have submitted your answer. You must complete this exam by the assigned date. Failure to complete the exam by the assigned date will result in a 0 for the exam. Formula Sheet: You may use the MAT 116 Midterm Formula Sheet. You may print this out. You may not write on this sheet before the test. Show the proctor your unblemished formula sheet during the room scan. Scrap Paper: You may use 5 pieces of blank scrap paper to help you take the exam. Show your proctor the blank scrap paper during the room scan. Please keep your scrap paper neat and organized. Please write the number of the problem you are working on. I am going to read your scrap paper, so again, please try to keep it neat and organized. Scrap paper should not be in a notebook. It should be separate sheets of blank paper. Scrap paper will be collected. You must upload your scrap paper into the “Work/Scrap Paper” Drop Box. You will have 15 minutes after you complete this exam to submit your work/scrap paper. Your instructor has the right to refuse any or all work on scrap paper that is submitted after the 15 minute time limit. The exam is not complete without submitted scrap paper. If you do not submit your scrap paper, you may earn a 0 for the midterm exam. SHOW YOUR WORK ON YOUR SCRAP PAPER!! NO WORK = NO CREDIT!! Math Editor: Please use the math editor if necessary.If you have trouble activating the math editor, click the Honorlock chat button and request help. The help request will be logged and I can verify your issues. If you still cannot get the math editor to work after contacting Honorlock, do not panic! Type in your answer as well as you can. Make sure you circle your answers on your scrap paper. As long as the scrap paper is submitted within 15 minutes of finishing the exam, your answers will count.
