This question is for graduate students only. Undergraduates do not need to answer this question. We have recently read several papers for class (citations below). Choose one of these papers and critique the overall approach that they use to test their hypotheses. Include a discussion of the type of data they collected (by type of data I mean experimental, observational, etc. not the exact things they measured), whether they had replication, what they are using as a comparison or a as control, and the drawbacks and benefits of their approach. Rosi et al. 2018, Urban stream microbial communities show resistance to pharmaceutical exposure. Hintz et al. 2017, Salinization triggers a trophic cascade in experimental freshwater communities with varying food-chain length. Sass et al. 2006, Fish community and food web responses to a whole-lake removal of coarse woody habitat.
