This week in class we discussed a documentary film about the history of non-native/invasive species of “Cane Toads” in Australia. One of the issues we discussed was the ethical value (if any) of “Cane Toads,” which in turn would guide us in deciding what would be considered ethical treatment of them. A controversial aspect of ethical value of species is whether or not they are native to specific habitats/ecosystems. Summarize and discuss some of the key ideas related to this issue that we discussed in class. *** Remember, submitting any part of this Learning Evaluation created using generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, etc., or AI-enhanced writing/translation platforms like Grammarly, QuillBot, DeepL, and Google Translate violates my Academic Integrity policy (see Syllabus). Like other forms of plagiarism, it is academic misrepresentation/fraud because you are submitting work created by someone or something else as your own.
