You discover a new virus that causes ulcers in the mouth and is transmitted through contact with infected saliva.  You name the virus Salivary Emission Ulcervirus, SEU for short.  SEU’s genome is single stranded DNA.  You are able to get an image using electron microscopy (left) and build a model of the virus (right).  After years of work, you find that SUE attaches to host cells using AB-1 as an attachment factor and YZ-2 as a receptor.  You use this information to better understand the tissue tropism of the virus.  You design an experiment to test multiple cell lines and determine if they can be infected by SEU.  Your results are below.
